Hi! I'm Elizabeth

My journey into the world of child and family care began with my first nanny job in 2008. I pursued other careers through a business degree and a brief stint in the non-profit world, but my heart pulled me back to families.

In 2017 I was in a car accident that almost left me paralyzed. Recovery was challenging and I found myself struggling to find a "why". Six months after my accident I became a postpartum doula, followed shortly by lactation counselor, and infant massage instructor. I found that supporting new families energized me. Instead of feeling exhausted at the end of a day I felt alive. Once I started on this career path I could not imagine doing anything else. All these years later, this still holds true.

In 2018 I began the journey to be a single mom by choice. My oldest son was born in April 2020 and my second in August 2023. These boys light up my world like nothing else. Yes, our house is sticky, loud and full of chaos-- but it is also full of more joy than I knew possible.

I began pursuing a sleep consultant certification after realizing that much of my work as a postpartum doula involved guiding parents through their baby's sleep. I never suggested cry-it-out methods to my clients-- although I always supported them when that was a choice that they made. I felt I needed to pursue a sleep course that expanded my gentle sleep approach. The Holistic Sleep Coaching Program did exactly that.

In 2019, I started on the path to becoming a lactation consultant (IBCLC). While there are several paths to get there, I chose to pursue IBCLC through an RN degree-- obtaining my licensure in January 2023. I plan to sit for the lactation consultant board exam in 2024.

In my free time, I volunteer at a food shelf and spend time with my kids. We enjoy visiting the library, going for bike rides, and listening to local music. We live in Saint Paul, MN with our cat, Eloise.
